Blue

Man, I am on a roll!  I have been working furiously on my next quilt.  I finished the top in a matter of a couple days; this has been one of my fastest finished tops ever!  (The very fastest quilt I ever made was an entire quilt - from uncut fabric to pieced, quilted, and bound - in only four hours.  I'm planning to share it on the blog at some point this year.)

Here's a preview of this one, which I am calling "Blue". I know, I know, where do I come up with these clever names?!  This quilt is inspired by the work of Victoria Findlay Wolfe, whose blog can be found here.

These are my three favorite fabrics in "Blue":

Now I have to decide on a backing fabric.  I'm leaning either toward a solid blue, a solid grey, or that dark colored floral print in the lower right-hand corner.  I'm not much for florals, but that one really grew on me as I pieced the quilt together.

  2. I really like how some of the blocks are crazy, and some are solid. Very well done.

    1. Thank you- I wanted the crazy look, but wanted to keep it grounded as well. Too much crazy is not a good thing!
